A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hood River to authorize the City Manager to execute a service contact with the Oregon Kitchen Table.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Hood River seeks to grain local knowledge and input on city-wide housing issues from a wide variety of sources; and
WHEREAS, the Oregon Kitchen Table, a program of the National Policy Consensus Center at Portland State University is uniquely qualified to manage a process that develops input on housing issues from a wide and deep cross-section of the Hood River community; and
WHEREAS, the Oregon Kitchen Table proposes to design and implement a project to deeply engage citizens and interested parties to determine their thoughts, opinions and viewpoints on housing issues in Hood River; and
WHEREAS, the Oregon Kitchen Table proposes to perform this activity through a methodology customized for Hood River that among several techniques will consist of focused outreach on various communities in Hood River through surveys and several structured in-person events with groups of Hood River stakeholders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Hood River City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Oregon Kitchen Table to perform focused engagement with the Hood River Community as generally described in the recitals above.
Approved by the Hood River City Council the 11 of September 2017, to take effect immediately.
