Resolution 2015-02
A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract for professional services with ECONorthwest to prepare the Buildable Lands Inventory and Housing Analysis

     Whereas the City recognizes the need to determine the amount of vacant and buildable lands in the City and Urban Growth Area and to establish housing policies to address affordable work force housing and to analyze the effect of vacation and short-term housing on the inventory; and

     Whereas the Department of Land Conservation and Development has given the City a $30,000 grant to pay for more than half of the inventory and analysis; and

     Whereas the City Planning Department has budgeted $25,000 for the inventory and analysis;

     Whereas the City solicited Requests for Proposals seeking planning assistance to conduct this work; and

     Whereas the City received two proposals for services and in conjunction with the Port reviewed each of them; and

     Whereas the submitted an outstanding proposal and is well-qualified to perform the required planning works and analysis;

     NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Hood River City Council that:
The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract not to exceed $55,000 for professional planning services with ECONorthwest for the housing inventory and analysis for consideration by the City
Adopted by the Hood River City Council this 26th day of January, 2015, to take effect immediately.
