(A resolution providing for a contingency transfer for unanticipated recruitment costs)
WHEREAS, ORS 294.463 allows the City Council to transfer a general contingency appropriation, when all such transfers do not exceed 15 percent of the total appropriations of the fund, when authorized by resolution of the governing body; and
WHEREAS, the General Fund has contingency to cover unforeseen expenditures; and
WHEREAS, it was not anticipated that the City Manager position would become vacant; and
WHEREAS, it was not anticipated that it would be necessary to recruit for another City Manager; and
WHEREAS, costs for interviewing candidates for the City Manager position will be incurred; and
WHEREAS, this contingency transfer does not exceed 15 percent of the total appropriations in the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, a transfer and reappropriation of $10,000 from contingency to the Administration Department, Professional Services line item in the General Fund is necessary; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hood River City Council that:
The transfer and reappropriation of $10,000 from contingency to the Administration Department: Professional Services line item in the General Fund is approved.
Approved by the Hood River City Council this 10 day of February, 2014, to take effect immediately.
