Resolution 2013-45
(A resolution providing for a contingency transfer for unanticipated costs for Riverside Drive and Kenward Driveway)
WHEREAS, ORS 294.463 allows the City Council to transfer a general contingency appropriation, when all such transfers do not exceed 15 percent of the total appropriations of the fund, when authorized by resolution of the governing body; and
WHEREAS, the Water Fund has contingency to cover unforeseen expenditures; and
WHEREAS, last year’s waterline construction impacted the Riverside Drive and the Kenward Driveway properties; and
WHEREAS, it was not anticipated that the Riverside Drive or the Kenward Driveway properties would require additional work after the completion of the waterline construction; and
WHEREAS, repair costs estimated at $35,500 for an additional 3” of ¾ gravel to Riverside Drive and 4” of ¾” gravel to the Kenward Driveway will be incurred ; and
WHEREAS, this contingency transfer does not exceed 15 percent of the total appropriations in the Water Fund; and
WHEREAS, a transfer and reappropriation of $35,500 from contingency to the Repairs and Maintenance line item in the Water Fund is necessary; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hood River City Council that:
The transfer and reappropriation of $35,500 from contingency to the Repairs and Maintenance line item in the Water Fund is approved.
Approved by the Hood River City Council this 25 day of November, 2013, to take effect immediately.
