A resolution authorizing the City of Hood River to apply for a Local Government Grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for rehabilitation of the Hood River Tennis Courts (Tsuruta Courts) and delegating authority to the City Manager to sign the application
WHEREAS, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the Local Government Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hood River desires to participate in this grant program to the greatest extent possible as a means of providing needed park and recreation acquisitions, improvements and enhancements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hood River has identified infrastructure improvements at the Tsuruta Tennis Courts as a high priority need in the City of Hood River; and
WHEREAS, the City of Hood River proposes to purchase, and install a new durable surface for the tennis courts, the only community tennis courts in the City; and
WHEREAS, the applicant hereby certifies that the matching share for this application is readily available at this time; and
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City of Hood River be authorized to apply for a Local Government Grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for tennis court improvements at the Hood River Tennis Courts (Tsuruta Courts) as specified above and that the City Manager is authorized to sign the application.
Approved by the Hood River City Council the 13th day of February, 2012, to take effect immediately.
