RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10
A Resolution of the City of Hood River Authorizing the Preparation and Issuance of a Request for Proposals for Architecture and Design Services for the Fire Station Remodel and Expansion Project
WHEREAS, the voters of the City of Hood River (the “City”) approved Measure 14-34 at the November 4, 2008 general election, authorizing the City to issue $6,000,000 of general obligation bonds to finance capital construction and capital improvements for expansion and seismic upgrades to the City’s fire station and for the acquisition of fire and emergency apparatus, as described in the ballot title for Measure 14-34; and
WHEREAS, to proceed with the fire station remodel and expansion project in accordance with Measure 14-34, the City must engage a design firm to prepare designs and construction bid documents. To do that, the City must prepare and issue a Request for Proposals for architecture and design services, from which a qualified design firm can be selected.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hood River, Oregon, resolves that the City Manager, in conjunction with the Fire Chief and City Attorney, shall prepare and issue a Request for Proposals for architecture and design services related to the fire station remodel and expansion project funded by the bond proceeds authorized by Measure 14-34.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND EFFECTIVE this 8th day of March 2010, by a majority of the Hood River City Council.
