(A resolution providing for the exemption of a contract for the for the Hood River I-84 Crossing Waterline Project from the requirements of the Oregon Public Contracting Code)
WHEREAS, the City Council is the local contract review board for the City of Hood River;
WHEREAS, ORS 279C.335 allows the local contract review board to exempt a public improvement contract from the requirements of competitive bidding contained in ORS Chapter 279C;
WHEREAS, the City Council adopts the findings of fact in the attached Exhibit A in support of exempting a contract with ODOT for the Hood River I-84 Crossing Waterline Project in an amount not to exceed $59,300, in accordance with this Resolution;
WHEREAS, the City has provided notice and a public hearing on September 28, 2009, in accordance with ORS Chapter 279C and the procedure therein for adopting exemptions to the competitive bidding requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hood River City Council that:
The City Engineer is authorized to enter into a contract with ODOT for the Hood River I-84 Crossing Waterline Project described in Exhibit A for a total cost not to exceed $59,300 and the contract is exempted from the competitive procurement requirements of the Oregon Public Contracting Code.
Approved by the Hood River City Council the 28th day of September, 2009, to take effect immediately.
