Resolution 2009-14

(A resolution transferring and reappropriating within Water Fund
 due to emergency expenditure)


 WHEREAS, the City Engineer for the City of Hood River procured an emergency public contract for the Second Street Overpass Project necessitated by freezing weather that damaged and misaligned an important water line;

 WHEREAS, the amount of the contract was $90,000;

 WHEREAS, the City maintains funds in the Contingency Line of the Water Fund to fund emergency repairs to the water system; however, payment of the Second Street Overpass Project came from the Repairs and Maintenance Line of the Water Fund;

 WHEREAS, it is, therefore, necessary to transfer $90,000 from the Contingency Line of the Water Fund to the Repairs and Maintenance Line of the Water Fund.

 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hood River City Council that:

 $90,000 of the Contingency Line of the Water Fund is transferred and reappropriated to the Repairs and Maintenance Line of the Water Fund.


Approved by the Hood River City Council the 11th day of May, 2009, to take effect immediately.
