(A resolution accepting the Columbia Gorge Future Forum Final Report)
WHEREAS, a Columbia Gorge Future Forum event took place in October 2008 for a discussion of regional concerns and aspirations as related to the Columbia River Gorge;
WHEREAS, the Columbia Gorge Future Forum held community gatherings, focused meetings and conducted a web survey in 2008 to obtain additional information and input;
WHEREAS, the Columbia Gorge Future Forum has produced a document summarizing the findings from these events; and
WHEREAS, the Columbia Gorge Future Forum has produced a document that contains a vision and strategies for the Columbia River Gorge which the Council believes is consistent with the City’s vision and strategies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hood River City Council that:
The City of Hood River accepts the Columbia Gorge Forum Final Report – Envisioning Our Future – Building a Vibrant, Sustainable Future for the Gorge, October 2008 as a valid expression of public values and aspirations for the future of the Columbia River Gorge.
Approved by the Hood River City Council April 27, 2009, to take effect immediately.
