Mission Statement 

The Building Department enhances public safety through the administration of state and local building and mechanical codes relating to building construction.. The department’s goal is to provide timely, efficient and thorough plan reviews and building inspections. 

The building department is responsible for issuing building permits and conducting fire and life safety and structural building inspections to ensure that all structures within the City are properly and safely built, remodeled and maintained in accordance with the applicable Building and Mechanical Code requirements and local ordinances.
