PUBLIC WORKS SEASONAL WORKER – CITY OF HOOD RIVER, OREGON (pop. 7375) is accepting applications for Public Works Seasonal Worker. The work performed is physically demanding to perform manual and unskilled maintenance work at the City’s parks. Ability to operate lawn power equipment, mowers, weed eaters, drive pick-up trucks, use shovels, rakes, etc. Will also perform maintenance of public facilities. Minimum qualifications include possession of a valid driver’s license, and must be 18 years of age. Rate of pay will be $12.00 per hour. CITY OF HOOD RIVER REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS JANITORIAL SERVICES for CITY OF HOOD RIVER
The City of Hood River seeks proposals for janitorial services for City facilities and parks. Proposals are to be submitted on proposal forms available at City Hall or at www.cityofhoodriver.com. Proposals will be received by the Hood River City Recorder at the City Hall Building, 211 2nd Street, Hood River OR 97031, until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017, at which time proposals will be opened and reviewed. A pre-bid walkthrough will be conducted on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the City Hall Building, 211 2nd Street. Potential bidders are encouraged, but not required, to attend.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or portions thereof, waive informalities, and award a contract in any manner that results in the greatest benefit to the City.
Each proposal must be submitted on the proposal form, enclosed in a sealed envelope indicating the name and address of the party submitting the proposal.
The successful proposer will be awarded a contract in writing. Work under the contract will commence June 1, 2017 and continue for a term of two (2) years, with price to be negotiated annually.
